ARMY COLONEL DREW TECHNER RETIRES
Colonel Drew Techner retired from the United States Army on January 31, 2024. His 34 years of service includes many experiences. Having begun as an enlisted military member, Techner attended Officer Candidate School to become an officer. During 2003 - 2004, Techner served in Baghdad, Iraq as a military intelligence officer. He later served five years as the Department of the Army’s only full-time casualty officer assisting Army Families. Other highlights include outstanding performance as Detachment Commander for the Selective Service System and senior Team Leader for the 99th Readiness Division ensuring flawless performance of Military Funeral Honors throughout Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey areas. U.S. Army Chief of Staff Randy A. George honored Colonel Techner with a Certificate of Retirement.
