COMMISSIONER DANIELLE OUTLAW RECOGNIZES POLICE CAPTAIN DREW TECHNER IN RETIREMENT CEREMONY

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw honored Police Captain Drew Techner at a retirement ceremony on October 26, 2022. The ceremony, held at Philadelphia Lodge 5 Fraternal Order of Police, celebrated Captain Techner’s quarter century of public service to the citizens of Philadelphia.

Commissioner Outlaw presented Techner with a certificate of appreciation that stated, “On this occasion of your retirement, celebrating twenty-six years of dedicated and faithful service to the Philadelphia Police Department, we, your friends and colleagues, proudly honor your many accomplishments and outstanding contributions to the law enforcement profession. From the day of your appointment to the Philadelphia Police Department on March 1, 1993, you have distinguished yourself as a skilled professional and exceptional individual, maintaining high standards of excellence and integrity. Your career path began in the Center City District and concluded as a Captain in the Command Inspections Bureau with your retirement on May 6, 2019. We, who have shared experiences and have worked with you, will not forget the friendship and good times that we had working together and shall keep them within our hearts long after your departure. We extend to you our utmost appreciation for a job well done! With this sentiment in mind, we offer you warm congratulations and extend to you our deepest admiration and sincere wish that good health, joy, and prosperity will always find you in all your future endeavors as we bid you farewell on this, the occasion of your retirement.”

Philadelphia FOP Lodge 5 presented Captain Techner with a gold watch.

Also attending the ceremony was First Deputy Police Commissioner John Stanford and Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore. Police Inspector Jarreau Thomas read the citation.

After the presentation, guests and dignitaries enjoyed a buffet dinner provided by Lodge 5.
